DCR Mining Tutorial – BTC.com

Decred is a Bitcoin-like cryptocurrency whose main applications include community input, open governance, and sustainable fundraising and development. By utilizing a hybrid mining system of "Proof of Work" and "Proof of Stake", it is ensured that no small group can dominate the transaction process and that Decred cannot be changed without community input. Decred's development team consists of the same developers who participated in building the Bitcoin Golang btcsuite implementation. Decred is the first cryptocurrency to implement constrained on-chain voting to date. Over the next few months, Lightning Network implementation methods and privacy features will also be rolled out.

1、Obtaining the Wallet Address

DCR, like your assets, needs to be kept in a safe place.

Generally use the wallet address generated by the exchange.

How to get a wallet address through the exchange：

You can choose an exchange that you commonly use and supports DCR to apply for a wallet address. You can also use the official wallet through the DCR official website.

2、Pool Settings

Note：If you have already registered an account, you can click the top left corner and click "+" button to add one.

There are two registration methods you can choose, phone number or email signup. Here is an example of phone number registration. Please enter your phone number and verification code and set password to complete

2) After the registration is completed, please set your sub-account name (the sub-account name is unique, and the pool uses this name to determine whether it is your miner), select the currency as DCR, select the region closest to you, and fill in your DCR address we obtained in step 1.

3、Miner Settings

1) The initial user name and password are both root.

2) After logging in, please find the General Settings section of the Miner Configuration tab in the backend of the miner, and fill in the three mining addresses in the URLs of Pool 1, Pool 2, and Pool 3 respectively (select the mining address according to the location of the miner).

When mining, the miner usually connects to the first address, if there is a problem with the first one, the miner will automatically connect to the second one, when there is a problem with the second one, it will automatically switch to the third one, it's almost no loss of revenue.

Fill in the "sub-account name. Miner number" in the three Workers, for example “btcminer.001”. To distinguish different miners, the miner number can be filled in as you like .

4、View the Miner Status

You can check the real-time working status of the miner on the Miner Status interface on the back end of the miner.

5、View Earnings

In the mining pool, you can view your earnings and the miners' status. Please go to the "Dashboard" to view the real-time hash and earnings of the miners.
